Whether installed or not, I'm still not able to go into the this folder or any other, to transfer the pics. Try connecting ur usb as data transfer mode you will see the option to copy paste content.

I have the same problem. When zenflne the Zenfone 2 to my laptop, it was possible before to go to the DCIM folder to copy photos.
